Peak Protocol

Editorial policy

This page explains how content on Peak Protocol is produced, so you can judge it rather than take it on trust.

Sourcing

Health claims are sourced to the NHS, TALK TO FRANK, the MHRA, or peer reviewed research. We link to sources so you can read them yourself. Where a claim rests on a single small study, we say so rather than presenting it as settled.

Product claims

We use only health claims authorised on the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register, in wording close to the register text. Botanicals such as ashwagandha, tongkat ali, DIM and milk thistle hold no authorised claims in Great Britain, so our pages for those products state the extract ratio, the dose and the testing, and stop there.

We never describe a supplement as a steroid alternative, and we never imply a food supplement treats, prevents or cures a condition.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it on the page and note that we did, rather than quietly editing. Email Contact@peakprotocol.co.uk if you find an error and we will look at it properly.

Commercial relationships

We sell supplements, and some pages link to products we profit from. Where we recommend a clinic or testing service we may receive a referral fee. We disclose that rather than hide it, and it does not change what we write. Several of our product pages actively advise against buying the product, which would be a strange approach if commission drove the content.

Updates

Health pages carry the date they were last reviewed. Anything more than a year old is re-checked or marked as under review.
